FAQ Response
Sharing this with you is a question I am often asked when promoting the method of expelling cold.
Many friends have some misunderstandings about expelling cold, and because of this, they may be discouraged or skeptical. If you let go of these misunderstandings, you can communicate with your body with an open mind and a new perspective.

Q1 Is cold-dispelling suitable for everyone?
In fact, everyone will be invaded by cold air to varying degrees. In particular, people who are often exposed to air conditioning or cold food in their daily lives will cause cold air to enter the body and affect the circulation of qi and blood. Properly expelling cold and keeping warm can ensure smooth circulation of qi and blood in the body and maintain health.
Q2 I am very afraid of heat. Is it not suitable for me to expel cold?
Urbanites generally have a mixture of cold and heat in their physique. Fear of heat is a symptom of excessive accumulation of cold air in the body, which causes the body's heat dissipation function to fail and heat to accumulate inside the body. Generally, people who are afraid of heat are more suitable for expelling cold. Properly expelling the cold air can restart the heat dissipation system and restore balance in the body.
Q3 Will wearing multiple layers of socks make me too hot and affect my circulation?
Each layer of socks has been carefully designed, and the choice of material and thickness design can achieve the effect of keeping warm while being breathable and not cramped. Therefore, wearing multi-layer socks specially designed to expel cold will not affect circulation, but will keep the feet warm and promote blood circulation.
Q4 What should I do if my feet sweat a lot?
Our feet produce an average of about a cup of water worth of sweat every day, so sweating feet is normal. The silk stockings worn on the first layer of the skin have the functions of keeping warm, absorbing sweat, releasing sweat and detoxifying. They can help keep the feet warm and facilitate moisture and detoxification. If you find your socks are wet, change them as soon as possible to avoid absorbing moisture again.
Q5 When should socks be worn?
It is recommended to wear socks when sleeping to help keep your feet warm and improve sleep quality. If you are used to it, you can wear multiple layers of socks when you stay at home. When going out to an air-conditioned place, you can choose to wear two layers of socks to keep warm.
Q6 Do I need to change and wash my socks every day?
Generally, socks can be changed every few days if they are dry. If your feet sweat a lot, you need to change them more frequently.
Q7 Can I eat fruits to get rid of the cold?
Fruits are cold foods. After entering the body, we need body qi to dissolve the coldness in order to maintain body temperature. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine and the theory of cold-expelling therapy, it is better to eat less fruit.
Q8 How to soak your feet at home?
Take a bath every day to warm your body! Foot soaking is very effective and is the easiest way to expel cold to do immediately at home! (If you can take a half-body bath at home, the effect will be even better!)
- Soak in 38-40 degree warm water for at least 20 minutes. If you feel the water is not warm enough, add hot water to maintain the temperature until your skin starts to sweat slightly. Sweating slightly means your body temperature has risen by 1 degree. If you are serious about getting rid of the cold, there is no upper limit to the soaking time at the appropriate temperature.
- The height must be above the ankles, and it would be ideal if it reaches the calves.
- Once you get used to it, you can add ingredients such as ginger, aromatherapy oil or moxa, but soaking your feet in warm water is just as effective.
